FUN OR NOT SO FUN FACTS |
|
The Winter solace, December 21st , is the shortest day of the year providing the least amount of daylight hours. However, I have noticed over the years hunting in North Georgia that I can hunt a few minutes longer in the evening and get to my stand a few minute later on that date. This has been a source of disputed information in the past. Actually arguments with smart people. Using the sunrise, sunset site link above confirms that evening hunts gradually start to get longer on December 10th, while the need to get to my stand, gets later every morning until January 13th for my hunting location. Understand clear days versus overcast days can make as much difference in shooting light availability as these subtle changes in sunrise and sunset times. Disclaimer: In no way does this information make HUNTINGWAYPOINTS.COM liable if you get home late and momma gives you the stink eye. |
